JEVPIC is creating a giant glowing glacier out of plastic in Battery Park in-front of the Statue Of Liberty. The Glacial Obstruction Lumination represents all of the obstructions in our lives, our freedoms and the things lurking beneath the surface that made the

"Metaphoric Glacier", like ancestry and inherited traumas found in their epigenetics. As I always say there's no "self-made success" & there's no "self-made mistake" it's all of the factors and humans who supported them or hated on them that constructed "glacier".

During this historic time in our country, a President is on Trial, Human Rights are under attack, women's bodies are being controlled, drag is being outlawed, an American province (Puerto Rico) is being ignored, Modern Slavery is re-emerging, antisemitism is openly rising, Elderly Asians are being beat up, refugees are being burned alive, all White Men are being clumped together and accused, the #gbtqcommunity is being persecuted, children are getting murdered by gun violence & religions are becoming sinfully radicalized by political hypocrites, it's a miracle I get to make a piece of art as a way for me to scream politely from the top of my lungs for all of us. Hearts and Obstructions should melt not glaciers.

About the artist: Everette Solomon aka JEVPIC grew up in a children’s home on the Kentucky / Indiana boarder and was emancipated when he was  15. He immediately moved to Los Angeles where he went to college at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and Art Center College of Design. He went on to become an Editor for Paper Magazine, Palm Springs Life Magazine, XY Magazine & Coachella Magazine. His photography, paintings & public art installations have been collected by museums, celebrities and cities. He is currently working on three short films, a writing a book about creative grieving and a dark musical diving into the concept of how imagination can save lives, like it did his.
