Cosmic Portal
Tyler Schrader
The Cosmic Portal is a double-sided interactive wooden LED sculpture, standing at 10x6' and adorned with 5,000 LEDs. One side features captivating projection mapping. Typically nestled in a lush garden or installed with plants, it incorporates a device that translates electrical variations of plants into vibrations, audio, and visual experiences. It includes vibrating decks called "Grounding Pads," inviting immersion in the gentle vibrations of nature. This installation has blossomed into a safe haven and grounding force. This piece activates the same parts of the brain which get stimulated by deep meditation and psychedelic therapies. It creates a sacred space where individuals can meet themselves and confront their thoughts and emotions.
The Mission: In our fast-paced, technology-driven world, there's a growing need to reconnect with nature. The Cosmic Portal bridges this gap, turning the biorhythmic data of plants into a language that speaks to our senses. It is a connection between humanity and the cosmos, a sanctuary for rediscovering the beauty of our Earth and the wonders within ourselves.
